Purpleblow Maple

Distinguishing Features: Middle lobe is much larger, side lobes are very small, red seeds and wings
- Type: Deciduous
- Form at maturity: 20 to 25 feet tall, rounded, broad crown
- Leaf: Leaves emerge reddish purple but mature to dark green. Fall color features shades of yellow and orange, sometime with purples and reds mixed in.
- Flower: Greenish-yellow flowers in clusters.
- Bark: Gray brown on older branches and trunk, twigs may have purplish cast
- Fruit or Seed: Samara, 1.25 to 1.5 inches long
