Tatarian Maple

Distinguishing Features: Prominent central lobe with very small side lobes, no buds at the end of twigs
- Type: Deciduous
- Form at maturity: 15 to 20 feet, round to wide spreading outline
- Leaf: Opposite, 2 to 4 inches long, 3-lobed, but central lobe is much larger than side lobes. Leaves of mature tree nearly unlobed, medium to dark green, high quality, mix of yellow and red in autumn
- Flower: Greenish-white flowers in 2 to 3 inch panicles
- Bark: Smooth gray on young branches, textured gray on old trunks
- Fruit or Seed: Reddish, 0.75 to 1 inch long samaras
