Distinguishing Features: Long narrow cones with notched scales
  • Type: Evergreen
  • Form at maturity: 40 to 60 feet tall and 35 to 30 feet wide, conical in shape with horizontal and hanging branchlets
  • Leaf: 0.5 to 1 inch long, stiff and pointed, medium green needles which tend to point downwards and towards the stem tip
  • Flower: Monoecious, female flowers are terminal and are pink in color
  • Bark: Gray brown colored, peeling and thin scaled bark
